America - The Band Sarasota Concert reviews
Great music, but bad audience etiquette
All the bands were fantastic! Loved all the creativity and hard work that was put in to each one. However, I think it would help a LOT to remind the audience about good etiquette while watching. Two big things that were not followed were:
1. Not entering or leaving the stands during a band's performance
2. Not talking during a band's performance
People go to watch and listen to the bands. It's VERY irritating and rude when people around you are talking all through the performances. This happened when there were groups of kids watching together and also with adults that didn't seem to know or think about it. I know each group should remind their parents and fans about good etiquette, but it would probably help to have some reminders between bands as well. I'm not sure if protocol has changed, but I've been to marching band competitions where the event workers wouldn't allow people into the stands until a band was finished performing. That could really help. Still loved being there, but I hope reminders will help audience members be considerate of those around them.
